Oudin’s Out but These Shoes is Definitely In.
I’m not a huge tennis fan but I definitely pay attention to it more than I do…say…I don’t know baseball? Can I say that, am I still American? Whatever, yeah I like tennis more than I like baseball, deal with it; baseball has the unnatural ability to be outstandingly boring. I do love and appreciate baseball (especially in the late fall) but I certainly enjoy watching tennis more.
I don’t care how sexist the following sentences sounds. Tennis players are much more sexy than their baseball counter parts no matter which way you swing. Certainly my interest in Venus, Serena, and Sharapova reach farther than their sex appeal (I actually find their modeling careers a bit boring, a bit too trying hard to make some more money, but hey I ain’t hating). What I mean to say, rather, is Tennis is just plain sexy; I’ll let it rest at that.
But know what else I find sexy?…THESE SHOES!!

Watching Melanie Oudin in the 2009 U.S. Open has been the highlight of the tournament thus far for me. I took extra pleasure in seeing her defeat a noticeably obsolete Sharapova. And, even in her loss to Caroline Wozniacki there was much grace, character, and strength from the 17-year old American phenom.
Some pundits have already lumped a huge amount of expectation on the young lass in calling her the future of American Tennis, but I for one can’t make that assessment (for it takes an extraordinary amount of expertise and even more belief); I just hope she continues to enjoy the sport she’s dedicated so much time and effort to. I’m pleased with her performance at U.S. Open, and I’d love to see even greater success for the young American.
Quite frankly I’d like to see more gaudy choices in Melanie’s shoes too, these Adidas are too too fresh!
In Short: I Believe!
Big up to Chris Chase of Busted Raquet.
