Pendleton meets Opening Ceremony Spring 2010
Is this for real? I had to ask myself that several times while I read the press release for Pendleton meets Opening Ceremony, primarily because as kid growing up in Portland effing Oregon I always thought of Pendleton as a geeky brand from Pendleton (the middle of nowhere), OR. I have to suck up my pride a lot, I have to lavish praise on, yes Opening Ceremony, but especially Pendleton (I was wrong on so many levels). Not but weeks ago I ran into my dude Russel (one of those guys that knows everyone on planet Earth and is seemingly everywhere at once) he was wearing a Pendleton wool overcoat…I was absolutely astonished at how meticulously crafted it was(< -----have a click and see for yourself). Long story short this collaboration with Opening Ceremony cements a truth that I was simply ignorant of for far too long. Pendleton is dope! made in the USA! And exceptionally high quality! Don’t sleep. Though some of Pendleton’s wool pattern’s (clearly Native American inspired) might be hard to grasp for some people the diversion from ordinary is totally welcomed here.
